A private meeting in New York between Premier League chairman Richard Scudamore and some American owners has led to more turmoil in the top flight.
The summit at the Crosby Street Hotel on November 28 was attended by Manchester United’s Glazer family, Liverpool’s John Henry , Arsenal’s Stan Kroenke, Josh Harris of Crystal Palace, Tottenham’s Joe Lewis and Sunderland’s Ellis Short.
The Premier League said it was normal for their top executives to meet club owners and other leagues, and that all their clubs were kept in the loop about discussions.
