Paul Merson says he 'wouldn't be surprised' if Jorginho departed Arsenal this summer despite hailing the January signing as a 'masterstroke'

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has hailed the club's January business - noting the swift impacts of Leandro Trossard and Jorginho.

The two players were signed in January after Arsenal failed to land primary targets Mykhailo Mudryk and Moises Caicedo. The Gunners also brought in Jakob Kiwior as central-defensive cover from Spezia.

Both have played an integral role in Arsenal's maintaining of grip on the top of the Premier League. Despite the success of Jorginho so far, however, Merson said he would 'wouldn't be surprised' if he wasn't at the club next season.
