Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Lassana Diarra has signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
The France international has signed a one-and-a-half year deal with the Ligue 1 champions.
Diarra was initially touted as ‘the new Claude Makelele’ while making a name for himself at Le Havre in his native country – leading to interest from Chelsea.
In 2005, Jose Mourinho got his man for £1 million and Makelele himself mentored the holding midfielder.
However, injuries meant the young Frenchman was forced to deputise at right-back in his second season, largely limiting his progress.
