Ollie Pope thanked ‘lucky charm’ Aaron Ramsdale after the England goalkeeper witnessed his sixth Test hundred from the stands at Trent Bridge.

Days after returning from Euro 2024 final defeat in Berlin, Ramsdale texted Arsenal-mad Pope for tickets to the second match of the Rothesay series versus West Indies and once again saw his friend reach three figures - he was also present for last year’s double hundred against Ireland at Lord’s.

‘I'm obviously a big Arsenal fan so I go and support him a fair bit. He seems to be my lucky charm on the cricket pitch as well,’ Pope said.
