Nine of our players have received call-ups to England’s various youth team squads during this international break, including Folarin Balogun who could feature for the under-21s today.
The striker has impressed during his loan spell at Reims, having scored five times in eight Ligue 1 appearances so far, and will look to add to his 11 under-21 caps in friendlies against Italy and Germany.
This afternoon will see Lee Carsley’s side face the Azzurri in Pescara, before heading back home to take on Germany at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane on Tuesday.
Two more players currently out on loan have been selected for England’s under-20s, with Charlie Patino and Brooke Norton-Cuffy picked to participate in the Costa Calida Supercup tournament, however the latter has since withdrawn through injury.
