The Newcastle manager masterminded a stunning 3-0 victory against Manchester United with a second-string starting XI that was picked with an eye on tonight's game.
But the degree to which the agpies fringe players excelled may just have given Howe a few selection headaches. The likes of Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall will almost certainly drop back out, despite their superb performances, in favour of stalwarts Kieran Trippier and Dan Burn.
