Mikel Arteta on Wednesday night urged his Arsenal players to control their emotions during the title run as they extended their lead at the Premier League summit to five points.

The Gunners cruised past relegation threatened Everton to increase their advantage over second placed Manchester City as hopes of winning their first championship since 2004 intensify.

Arteta’s side have won three matches in succession since losing to City at the Emirates on February 15 and the Gunners boss, who refused to admit his team are title favourites, said: 'I wasn’t in any doubt (that we would bounce back from the loss to City)
