Mikel Arteta has urged Arsenal fans to show patience with Gabriel Martinelli who is set to return to the first-team fold following a lengthy injury absence.
The 19-year-old got his Gunners career off to a flying start after joining from Ituano as a relatively unknown forward 18 months ago, with his performances making fans stand up and take notice.
The young Brazilian went on to score 10 goals in 26 appearances for the club, with nine of those coming under Arteta, before suffering a serious knee injury back in March which has kept him out of action until recently.
