Mesut Ozil 'is prepared to forego some of the £7million Arsenal owe him before the summer' in order to force through a move away this month.

The German attacking midfielder, 32, wants to depart the Emirates Stadium having been frozen out of Mikel Arteta's squad this season.

Ozil, who earns £350,000-a-week at Arsenal, has been linked with a move to his favourite Turkish club Fenerbahce or DC United in Major League Soccer.
