Mesut Ozil 'received £8m loyalty bonus from Arsenal at the end of September'... despite having not played a game for the Gunners in more than SEVEN months

Mesut Ozil reportedly received a staggering £8million loyalty bonus from Arsenal at the end of last month despite his continued exile from the first-team.

The German playmaker is the club's highest earner, on £350,000 a week, but has not featured for Mikel Arteta's side since March 7, pre-lockdown.

In fact, Ozil has not even been named in a matchday squad yet this season but as a result of his new contract signed in January 2018, he received a sum of £8m in September in the form of a loyalty bonus, according to The Athletic.
