Match report: Slavia Prague 2-5 Arsenal Women

Vivianne Miedema delivered an attacking masterclass on Wednesday night, scoring four goals in our 5-2 first-leg victory over Slavia Prague in the Champions League last-16.

The Netherlands international has now scored eight goals across all competitions this season, taking her tally up to 50 since joining the club in May 2017.

We suffered our first defeat of the season last Sunday, and that seemed to be all the motivation we needed in Prague as we delivered a faultless attacking performance from start to finish.

With just 24 minutes on the clock, Beth Mead received the ball in transition and played a first-time pass into the feet of Miedema, who raced through on goal and fired coolly past Olivie Lukasova.
