Martin Odegaard insists he wants to stay at Arsenal for a 'long time', but Gunners captain is coy on new contract negotiations as he nears the end of his £115,000-a-week deal

Martin Odegaard wants to remain at Arsenal 'for a long time', but declined to be drawn on negotiations over a new deal.

The Norwegian's current £115,000-a-week deal runs out in June 2025 and the Gunners are planning to offer their captain a multi-year extension on improved terms, as reported in June by Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old reiterated his desire to extend his stay at the Emirates, but was coy to discuss any detail.

'I don’t have much to say, apart from the fact that I am very happy at Arsenal and I hope I can be there for a long time,' he told Norwegian outlet Nettavisen while on international duty this week.
