Manchester City supporters group urges fans to boycott Community Shield clash against Arsenal after blasting the FA and ITV for treating matchgoers as an 'afterthought' by scheduling a 5:30 kick-off time

A Manchester City supporters group has called on supporters to boycott the Community Shield match against Arsenal after blasting the FA and ITV for treating fans as an 'afterthought'.

City's triumph in the Premier League and FA Cup confirmed Arsenal as their opponents for the pre-season silverware clash at Wembley with organisers pencilling the game in a week later than last year's clash.

Pep Guardiola's treble-winning side will lock horns with Mikel Arteta's Gunners in the capital on Sunday, August 6 with the FA deciding upon a 5.30pm kick-off.
