Manchester City are reportedly eyeing-up a potential move for a Serie A star after Rodri was ruled out for the rest of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Rodri, 28, suffered the problem during City's 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Sunday and following a series of tests this week, Pep Guardiola revealed on Friday that he had surgery in Madrid.
It is a major blow for City, with Rodri integral to their success over recent years, while the reigning Premier League champions also have a mixed record without the Spaniard.
