Lotte Wubben-Moy reckons the Lionesses' togetherness will be key to success this summer - as the Arsenal defender reveals she is immune to Sarina Wiegman's directness after forcing her way into England's World Cup squad

Sat waiting by the phone for Sarina Wiegman’s call, Lotte Wubben-Moy’s nerves faded as she realised there was nothing more she could do.

She had given everything to be in the England manager’s 23-player World Cup squad so worrying whether it would be good or bad news was futile.

‘I just thought, me eating my granola isn’t going to change Sarina’s decision,’ Wubben-Moy tells Mail Sport.

Limited game time at Arsenal meant the defender was in and out of England camps throughout the year and, crucially, she missed out on selection for the final squad before Wiegman picked her World Cup group.
