Trae Coyle scored what proved to be the winning goal for Gillingham as they beat Wigan 3-2 at DW Stadium on Saturday.
Joe Garner opened the scoring for the hosts after 21 minutes before a brace from Jordan Graham gave the visitors the lead at half time.
Coyle then bagged his first goal of the season after the break in the 62nd minute. Scott Robertson laid the ball off on the edge of the box and our on-loan youngster bent the ball beyond the diving Jamie Jones to make it three.
Wigan found the net just two minutes later though, but Gillingham held on to go 14th in League One after two matches.
