Liverpool's Champions League calamity goalkeeper Loris Karius completes season-long loan move to Union Berlin with no clubs willing to meet his £6m asking price

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has finalised his loan move to Union Berlin.

The 27-year-old, who has not featured competitively for Liverpool since the 2018 Champions League final, arrived in Berlin on Sunday evening and completed a medical on Monday ahead of agreeing a season loan.

Liverpool wanted £6million for Karius who has spent the last two seasons with Besiktas and had enquiries from Montpellier and Hertha Berlin. He is surplus to requirements with Alisson Becker, who is an injury doubt for tonight's clash with Arsenal, and Adrian well established at Anfield.
