Juventus have stepped up their interest in signing Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich, with manager Massimiliano Allegri confirming that an approach has been made.
The Old Lady are close to completing the signings of Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and Sampdoria forward Patrik Schick, but Costa has been earmarked as the club's main summer transfer target.
The Brazil international has just played his final game of the season having been part of his country's tour of Australia, but it is understood that the player would like to have his future decided before he heads on holiday.
Costa struggled for regular starts under Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern last season, despite the 26-year-old scoring seven goals in 34 appearances in all competitions.
