Jamie Snowden hoping Sir Chips Keswick's absence will be a 'good omen' for Double Treasure in the BetVictor Gold Cup

Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick will be at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday for the North London Derby against Spurs but trainer Jamie Snowden is hoping that is a good omen for Keswick-owned chaser Double Treasure.

The six-year-old is a 14-1 shot for the £160,000 BetVictor Gold Cup at Cheltenham after winning his last four races.

When Keswick’s Snowden-trained Present View won at the 2014 Cheltenham Festival, his owner was absent as he also was when Double Treasure won at Cheltenham last month.

Lambourn-based Snowden joked: ’Hopefully it’s a good omen Chips will not be there!
