Jaidon Anthony was with Smith Rowe and Saka in Arsenal's academy but was released aged 16 for being 'too small'... Now the tricky winger is aiming to be one of the Championship's breakout stars as Bournemouth bid to get back to the Premier League

The virtual Jaidon Anthony has been part of the FIFA video game series for a couple of years now but bears little resemblance to the real thing.

'It doesn't really look like me. It is always a bit weird seeing yourself playing in there, it's quite bizarre really,' says the 21-year-old Bournemouth winger.

EA Sports will definitely need to do a bit better for their next instalment if, as everyone at the Vitality Stadium hopes, Anthony becomes one of the breakout stars of the Championship season starting this weekend.

The youngster was handed his first taste of Championship football by the Cherries last winter and, after a positive pre-season, hopes he has impressed new manager Scott Parker enough to win a regular place in a team with designs on getting back to the Premier League.
