Jack Wilshere was set for a deadline-day move to Roma - only for Arsenal to end his hopes of a move to Italy.

The talented midfielder joined Bournemouth in one of Wednesday’s shock transfers.

But he gave serious consideration to a switch to the Italian capital following talks with Franco Baldini, who is a consultant for Roma.
