Jack Wilshere's Arsenal future in doubt after midfielder admits he is no closer to signing a new deal at the Emirates

Jack Wilshere has cast fresh doubt over his Arsenal future by insisting he is no closer to signing a new contract.

The midfielder's current terms expire at the end of the season and as it stands the academy graduate can leave for nothing in the summer.

The Gunners have offered Wilshere an extension, but it includes a significant pay cut from his current deal.

Including bonuses, Wilshere earns in-excess of £125,000-per-week. His basic wage earns him close to £100,000-per-week but the club want him to take a drop in salary to around £80,0000-per-week.
