Freddie Ljungberg says the club "want me to stay" after he signed off as our interim head coach with a point on the road at Everton.
The Swede has been in charge of the past six games, but Mikel Arteta will assume control from Sunday onwards.
Ljungberg said he had enjoyed the experience - but admitted it had also been a challenge for him.
"It was from one day to another - and I think we had six people leaving," he said in his post-match press conference. "You get no people there and you try to fill the gaps and do a lot of jobs yourself.
