Robin van Persie has revealed how his son Shaqueel was excited by the prospect of his dad teaming up with one of his favourite players, Wayne Rooney - because he thought the Englishman was moving to Arsenal.
The Dutchman had spent eight years in north London, where his family were settled, before making the move north in 2012.
And when Van Persie told his son that him and Rooney were set to be team-mates he thought that meant the England striker was heading to Emirates.
Instead the pair teamed up to devastating effect at Old Trafford, helping fire the team to Premier League glory in 2013.
