'If I was in his shoes, I'd try to increase our attacking quality': Steve Davis issues message to incoming Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui with the Wanderers' hopeful the Spaniard can get them out of their rut, having tried to sign him THREE times before

Wolves are expecting to have new boss Julen Lopetegui at Molineux for next Saturday’s clash with Arsenal after announcing the appointment of the former Spain and Real Madrid manager.

Caretaker manager Steve Davis suggested yesterday that Lopetegui will fly to England on Friday and be introduced to fans before the 7.45pm kick-off against the Gunners, with Wolves hoping it will provide a lift in atmosphere.

‘I know some of his coaches are coming in on Tuesday to introduce themselves, and Julen will be here later in the week — perhaps Friday,’ said Davis after Wolves’ defeat by Brighton.
