Mark Lawrenson has hit out at the BBC again, claiming former presenter Dan Walker only found out he had lost his role on Football Focus through rumours circulating about his future.
Lawrenson, who retired at the end of last season after 30 years as a pundit and co-commentator with the corporation, previously claimed his own departure was due to him being '65, white and male'.
Walker replaced Manish Bhasin as Football Focus's main presenter in 2009, but left the role in 2021 after 12 years, with Alex Scott taking over.
And Lawrenson was critical of Walker no longer being on the show and the way his departure was handled.
