Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson has slammed ‘arrogant’ Arsene Wenger and rubbished the manager’s claims that he has spent 21 years as Gunners boss out of loyalty to the club.
The Frenchman’s role at the club has come into question again following Arsenal’s dreadful performance in the EFL Cup final, where they lost 3-0 to a Manchester City who did not even have to hit top gear.
Wenger hit back at the continued speculation over his future during a frosty press conference on Wednesday, saying he ‘turned the whole world down’ to remain at the Premier League club for over two decades.
