Former Arsenal striker John Hartson has backed Jack Wilshere after the midfielder was branded ‘the most overrated player in the world’ by Roy Keane.
Wilshere came under fire for his poor performance at Arsenal lost 2-1 to Swedish minnows Ostersund in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Gunners still progressed in the competition despite their shock defeat at the Emirates, going through 4-2 on aggregate, but Keane – speaking as a pundit in ITV – was scathing in his assessment of Arsene Wenger’s side’s dreadful display.

But Keane’s former Celtic team-mate, Hartson, has defended the midfielder and says he has ‘undoubted ability’.
