This week marks 23 years since Dennis Bergkamp joined us - and to this day Steve Bould believes that he was one of the most significant signings in our history.
Throughout his 11-year spell in north London, Bergkamp played a vital role in helping us secure four FA Cups, three Premier League titles and an unforgettable unbeaten season, all while achieving a wealth of individual honours.
“For me I think he changed the face of the football club,” Bould told Arsenal Player.
“The day he signed we all went, ‘What, Dennis Bergkamp’s going to Arsenal?’ and then all of a sudden we weren’t at this level of play anymore, we were up with the best.
