Harry Kane admitted Tottenham's recent results have been embarrassing for the players as his side put a damaging week behind them to beat Aston Villa 2-0.
Carlos Vinicius put the visitors ahead before Kane sealed the three points with a second-half penalty to give Spurs a much-needed win and lift them up to sixth in the table.
And Tottenham's captain believes the performance was a good response to the criticism they have faced this week after losing to Arsenal and then collapsing in the Europa League against Dinamo Zagreb.
