Ilkay Gundogan and Mesut Ozil put their club rivalries to one side on Thursday in order to share a meal together ahead of the weekend's second round of Premier League fixtures.
Ozil appears to be helping Gundogan settle into his new life in England, following the midfielder's £21million move from Borussia Dortmund.
The 25-year-old, who is still recovering from a long-term knee injury, is yet to make his debut for Manchester City and was forced to watch from the sidelines as Pep Guardiola's side thrashed Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Ozil missed Arsenal's opening day defeat to Liverpool after being rested by Arsene Wenger, following his exploits at Euro 2016 earlier this summer.
