Danny Welbeck has been assured of his place in Gareth Southgate's England plans.
The Arsenal forward is fit again following a serious knee injury that ruled him out of Euro 2016 - a tournament he was certain to be selected for.
Despite a forward injury crisis that saw Jermain Defoe handed an international recall at the age of 34, Welbeck didn't feature in Southgate's squad for the recent games against Germany and Lithuania.
However, Welbeck has received assurances that he remains central to England's future - and informed that the main reason he wasn't selected for the last international break was due to his lack of games following his knee injury.
