Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong joins Arsenal... the Russian Premier League side

The former Gunners midfielder, who won the FA Youth Cup before making 11 senior appearances for Arsenal, left north London when he joined Barnsley in 2014.

However, he departed after just half a season – and nine appearances – in Yorkshire, when he signed for Russian club FC Ufa in Russia.

The Ghana international has gone on to play 25 times in the Russian Premier League and has now been handed the chance to build on that by Arsenal Tula who were promoted to the top flight last term.

The midfield general has penned a two-year deal with the club, where he hopes to breathe new life into his career.
