Folarin Balogun has spoken of his pride after finally making his debut for the US national team.
The Arsenal striker ignited excitement across US soccer by announcing last month that he was going to play internationally for USA instead of England after a whirlwind season on loan at French team Reims where he outscored Lionel Messi and Neymar.
He didn't hit the back of the net in Thursday's 3-0 win over Mexico but told CBS reporter Jenny Chiu he was 'overwhelmed' at finally playing his first game.
'It's a proud moment for me and my family, they were here watching.
