Bukayo Saka started and played 79 minutes of England's World Cup quarter-final defeat against France, with Aaron Ramsdale and William Saliba unused substitutes.
Aurelien Tchouameni's long-range strike gave Didier Deschamps' side the lead just after the quarter-hour, but England rallied at the start of the second half and, after Saka was fouled in the box, equalised through Harry Kane's penalty.
Former Gunner Olivier Giroud put the reigning champions back in front 12 minutes from time before Kane sent a late spot-kick over the bar.
Saliba's France will now face Morocco in the semi-final next Wednesday.
