Emily Fox is officially an Olympic champion after the US Women's National Team defeated Brazil in the Paris 2024 gold medal match.
Our right-back played every minute of the final which was decided by Mallory Swanson's strike in the 57th minute.
Fox was in action for every match during the tournament, helping the USA to a historic fifth gold medal and their first since London 2012. This is her debut Olympic Games.
Elsewhere, former Gunner Rafaelle Souza came off the bench for Brazil late in the second half. This match also marked the retirement of a true legend of the game, Marta, who hung up her boots after an incredible fifth Olympic Games.
