Marc Overmars, the disgraced former director of football at Ajax, has been named as the new technical director at Belgium club Royal Antwerp.
Dutchman Overmars, 48, stood down from his role in Amsterdam after sending a series of 'inappropriate messages' to female colleagues, a situation labelled as 'appalling for everyone' by CEO and compatriot Edwin van der Sar.
He resigned after discussions with Van der Sar and the supervisory board after the reports of alleged misconduct, and admitted that his behaviour was 'unacceptable'.
However, despite the controversy, former Arsenal winger Overmars has made an immediate return to football.
