Cristiano Ronaldo starts for Manchester United in crucial match against Arsenal for the first time since the death of his newborn baby earlier this week

Cristiano Ronaldo will start for Manchester United against Arsenal on Saturday for the first time since the tragic death of his newborn son.

The United star revealed on Monday that one of his newborn twins died during birth in a heart-breaking announcement. Ronaldo was then understandably given compassionate leave by the club to be with his family and grieve after their loss.

The 37-year-old forward therefore missed his side's 4-0 defeat against Liverpool on Wednesday, but participated in a full training session at Carrington with team-mates on Wednesday, has continued to train this week.
