Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino likens his role as being a 'professor' to the youngest squad in the Premier League and insists the players 'need time to learn for themselves'

Mauricio Pochettino has claimed his role at Chelsea is similar to that of a university professor as he seeks to improve his young side's mentality.

The Blues suffered a second-half collapse to go down 4-1 at injury-hit Newcastle last weekend, bringing an abrupt end to their recent run of impressive results.

With an average age of just over 23, Chelsea have the youngest squad in this season's Premier League, though expectation has been driven sky-high by co-owner Todd Boehly spending more than £1billion during the last 18 months.
