Chelsea have made contact with Arsenal striker Khayon Edwards over a possible summer move.
As reported by goal, Chelsea are looking to sign Edwards on a free transfer, with his scholarship contract expiring at the end of June. If the deal goes ahead then Arsenal would be entitled to compensation.
Edwards has been hugely impressive for Arsenal U18s this season, scoring 17 goals, but he has yet to sign professional terms with the Gunners despite the club having offered him a deal on three occasions.
Chelsea are currently unable to sign any players after Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
