Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal has scooped his nation's most prestigious footballing award, after being named Chilean Footballer of the Year for 2016.
The 29-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a successful calendar year with Bavarian giants Bayern, picking up a league title along with medals in the DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup.
Vidal made the switch to German football after becoming a global name in the midfielder of Juventus, making up a formidable trio alongside Paul Pogba and Andrea Pirlo.
In his first season in Bavaria Vidal racked up 30 appearances, in which he found the back of the net on four occasions.
