Arsène Wenger has quashed rumours linking him with the England job, insisting the role should go to an Englishman.
Following Sam Allardyce’s dismal reign which lasted just 67 days, the FA turned to Gareth Southgate on an interim basis.
Wenger, 66, admitted before the international break he could manage the England side if he had no club commitments.
However, speaking to beIN Sports, the Frenchman has admitted there had been no approach from the Football Association.
"There has been no contact," he said in an interview broadcast on www.beinsports.com.
