Arsene Wenger looks to have had his chips after Arsenal chairman walks out of Crystal Palace humiliation

Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick gave every indication that he believes the club need a new manager by walking out of Selhurst Park after Crystal Palace’s second goal in their 3-0 victory on Monday night.

Keswick’s prompt exit following Yohan Cabaye’s strike in the 63rd minute demonstrated he was voting with his feet in support of disenchanted Arsenal fans chanting ‘Arsene Wenger, we want you to go’ ringing around the stadium .

But it also astonished Palace and Arsenal supporters, plus neutrals sitting near Keswick, that a chairman of a club of Arsenal’s stature and with a reputation for acting in the right way should leave a match before the end in such fashion.
