Arsene Wenger described Arsenal's thrashing by Bayern Munich as a 'nightmare'... but what did he say after their other last-16 exits?

It was just all-too-familiar for Arsenal fans as they were ripped apart 5-1 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Last-16 exits have become the norm for Arsene Wenger's team and they look on course to crash out at that stage for the seventh successive year.

Afterwards, the beleaguered Wenger described the last 25 minutes in the Allianz Arena as a 'nightmare', adding 'we lost our organisation and we looked mentally jaded and vulnerable.'
