Arsenal are on the verge of signing Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund, but 15 years ago this summer they nabbed the very vocal Jens Lehman from the same club.
He was 33 at the time, cost £1.5m and had a reputation as an argumentative person, but Arsene Wenger was happy.
The boss was buying someone who had won the Bundesliga title with Dortmund in 2002 and the UEFA Cup with Schalke in 1997.
"He is a very experienced goalkeeper who has proved his quality playing in the Bundesliga, in the Champions League and also for his country," he said at the time.
