Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva has urged players to stand up and take responsibility for their poor form instead of allowing Arsene Wenger to take the blame for their failings.
The Frenchman is coming under more pressure than ever before to step down from his role at the Emirates with some fans staging protests before recent home games against Bayern Munich and Lincoln.
But Gilberto, who formed part of the legendary Invincibles side, says the players must keep believing in Wenger and show support for him both on and off the pitch.
Speaking to the Australian media on the launch of the Confederations Cup, the Brazilian said: 'The players could do something more.
