Arsenal fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief after Jack Wilshere confirmed he will return to action as soon as this weekend after getting the all clear on a worrying ankle injury.
The midfielder caused major concern after he was forced off the field on the hour mark during Arsenal's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
Wilshere, who wore the captain's armband on the night, came off worse in a heavy clash with opposing midfielder Danny Drinkwater and limped off the field after originally attempting to shake it off.
Fans understandably feared the worst, but the 26-year-old, writing on Instagram, confirmed there was no significant damage caused in the collision and that he will return to the pitch by the end of the week.
