After hastily completing his £35million move to Arsenal in the summer, no-nonsense midfielder Granit Xhaka never had a proper opportunity to say farewell to supporters of Borussia Monchengladbach.
But now the Swiss international has made amends after taking the opportunity to attend Gladbach's midweek Bundesliga clash with Wolfsburg and take to the pitch to thank fans for the years he experienced with them at the club.
Xhaka was brought onto the field of the Borussia-Park prior to the kick-off to be allowed the opportunity to show his appreciation to those who supported him throughout his four years with the German club.
