Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov dismisses suggestion that he is set to sell his stake in club and rejoin former partner Farhad Moshiri at Everton

Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov has issued an emphatic denial over murmurings that he is considering selling his stake in the north London club.

Usmanov, who owns a 30.04 per cent stake in Arsenal through Red and White Holdings Plc, was said to be considering selling his shares in the Gunners, according to a story on Arseblog on Wednesday.

The fan website suggested that the Russian billionaire was looking into moving to Everton, where he would join former partner Farhad Moshiri.
