Arsenal today set a new Women’s Super League attendance record of 59,042 for the clash against Chelsea at Emirates Stadium.
This beats the previous record of 54,115 set earlier this season in Arsenal’s home fixture against Liverpool, also at Emirates Stadium.
The latest achievement comes after a series of consistently high attendances over the past two seasons, which includes selling out Emirates Stadium for the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final against VfL Wolfsburg in May.
The support for the women’s team has been strong at Arsenal’s other home venue of Meadow Park, which has seen consistent sold-out crowds throughout the current campaign.
